I did enjoy our dinner here. Loved the self-service sauces counter. Reasonably priced. Got the $80 Triple Beef Platter(3 beef steaks: Oyster Blade (200g), Inside Skirt (200g) Wagyu Momo (200g) and 4 Sides : Chicken Karaage, Onion Rings, and Fresh Green Salad). Really enjoyed the gyu katsu steak. Ordered the above plus a garlic butter rice, crab cream croquettes, and tamagoyaki. Was enough for my 2A2C family.

Yappari Steak is such a gem. The lunch specials are awesome value, and the beef quality is seriously top‑notch. Grilling it yourself on the Mt Fuji lava plate is fun and makes everything taste even better. The staff are super friendly and genuinely attentive, which just adds to the whole experience. The setup feels very Japanese too — solo seats, couple seats, and bigger tables if you’re with a group. Honestly, one of the best Japanese steakhouse spots around the Melbourne precinct. Easy to recommend.

Went here on the weekends for my dinner and it was not that busy. I ordered its harami steak with sides and the taste was honestly just fine. The steak was definitely tender and juicy but there was no wow factor. The taste of the steak was kinda bland, with the sauces being the only flavour but the steak itself was plain. The portion was also okay at 200g for $19.99 and another $4.90 for sides. Overall, it was still a good experience.

Upon entry we were greeted by friendly staff, orders were quick and there are various dipping sauces to match the meat we have ordered. Seats were comfortable too. We had fun “cooking” our own meat! Great place to hang out with friends to catch up!

Amazing hidden steakhouse! 🥩 Great value — only around $25 for a full steak set with salad, rice, soup, and drink. Everything was delicious, especially the fried steak and braised beef! Perfect spot for family dinners or meat lovers!
