We went there with my gf, we really appreciated our time and the food there. It feels like they bring Japan in Cairns. My hokke was super tasty ! She loved her Ramen Tonkotsu too. We will definitely come back !
Unfortunately, one of the baddest experiences I ever had in a Japanese restaurant. It took 20 minutes just to make the order. The two waitresses were clearly overwhelmed with all the guests and serving, taking orders, payments and doing the bar. You definitely need more people for that, the 2 young girls were doing the best they could. The food was also below the expectations and we had expected more for 60$ per person. The dumplings were below average to be honest. Also the consistency of the rice in the Sushi plater wasn't really it, I suppose it was prepared in a hurry. The place looks nice though and I believe they can do better. That evening was probably a reflection of the lack of stuff...
Owner was very nice and passionate about the japanese culture. For the food wowโฆ the ramen was absolutely delightful! I definitely recomend this place to eat
Very authentic Japanese food! The vibe was wonderful and bustling. The best restaurant in Cairns. Iโd like to apology to the chef cuz we couldnโt finish our pork dumpling (cuz we were arguing suddenly๐ ๐ ) The smell and visual was wonderful!!!! We will definitely come back again to try all the food again!
Booked a table at 18:15, they arenโt busy yet so we get a table straightaway. We have ordered crispy tofu, cooked octopus with mayo, ramen and eel don. Food was lovely, you can tell the owner loves Japanese food/culture and trying to present the best he can. All the staff are Japanese and if I understand correctly the owner is not Japanese but speak fluent Japanese. The service was alright as they can be very busy at peak time. The only thing put me off is the chopsticks as they are disposable chopsticks, it maybe very popular or a cultural thing in Japan to use disposable chopsticks but the disposable chopsticks is unsustainable. Overall a nice experience.
