We had the most delightful meal at Trophy Room. A well thought menu with inventive dishes and plenty of GF options for me. Service was outstanding, patient, knowledgeable, friendly without being too casual. And the food? Drop dead, knock it out of the park. Beautifully seasoned, beautifully presented.

In town from San Francisco. We happen to stay at an Airbnb 2 blocks away and the host said this was her favorite restaurant so we ate there twice. Reservation is a MUST! Even on a school night the place was busy. We went w/o a reservation and waited. Menu changes daily but despite that pretty much every dish we had was a hit! We had dinners during our stay at other places such as Ogee and Institut Polaire but this place knocked it out of the park for us for Hobart dining. The only downside is as another reviewer mentioned, the acoustics is so loud it's difficult to have a conversation. We did the counter seating facing the window so that helped a bit. Too bad we had our back to the open kitchen. Friendly staff and knowledgeable about wine recommendations.

We had an amazing experience! The food was outstanding and, as a pescatarian who only eats fish, I was really impressed with the variety and quality of the dishes — everything was delicious. The service was warm and attentive, and the whole evening felt special. Booking in advance is definitely a must, as the place fills up quickly. The only small downside was the acoustics — it was quite loud, so we had to raise our voices a bit to talk. Overall, highly recommended!

What a lovely meal! Every dish was just so delicious - well thought through, unique dishes with beautiful local ingredients! We particularly appreciated their being so accommodating to two dietary requirements in the group - with extensive options for both vegans and gluten free. Great service too and excellent drinks list with knowledgeable waiters. When in Hobart, just go!

Just after a quick feed for myself! Really impressed with this place from start to finish. The entrees were spot on – fresh, seasonal produce and great flavours that actually stood out. Portions were delicate but satisfying, and everything felt really well thought out. The wine list was excellent with plenty of good options to match the food. Service was friendly, attentive, and professional without being over the top. The whole place had a clean, relaxed, yet polished vibe that made it easy to enjoy the night.
