Everything about this place was fantastic!! From the fresh and delicious, to the kind and accommodating staff - I had a fabulous time. Additionally the actual restaurant has the cutest and calmest vibe. I love it!! Will visit Hobart again just to go here Very generous portions and not pricey

We had dinner at this Japanese restaurant in Battery Point area during our recent holiday and ordered entree and main dishes. We had the chicken, scallop and wagyu kushiyaki grill skewers for entree. We also ordered 2 main dishes i.e. the kimchi buta and gyu shogayaki with rice, plus Suntory highball and lemon vodka drinks. The kushiyaki grilled stuff did not meet our expectation since there was no smoky aroma on them, which is expected in grilled skewers generally. Maybe they did not grill them on charcoal grill which is an unfortunate oversight. The 2 main dishes were just average as well and unfortunately did not meet our expectation based on our understanding of the dishes. The beef used in the gyu shogayaki dish was like frozen meat in supermarket and both main dishes lacked the smoky aroma expected on the dishes. The alcohol drinks were authentic Suntory brand drinks from Japan. The place's ambience is quite good with tables placed not too close to each other. Customer service is reasonable for the casual restaurant. You can pay with all type of credit cards with no payment surcharge 👍.

The food was ok but not the best Japanese food, our choices a bit greasy. Service lovely, atmosphere was a bit cramped and people loathed to talk.

Our first Japanese dining experience and we went with the Feed me option. The food was very good and fresh. The portions were good sized and we could not finish all of it, which is rare for us. The service was very friendly and catered to all our needs as I'm not good with chop sticks.

Delicious food, lovely staff, great atmosphere. The kingfish carpaccio and the gyoza were my favourite. Will return.
