One of the best steak restaurants we have ever visited anywhere in the world! We booked a quiet table near the main restaurant entrance and pre-ordered our aged rib to share. It was superb! Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted incredible. The service from everyone was top class with two stand-out mentions so deserved. Clara your experience and attention to detail was outstanding, and Hayley, your warm approach and help so welcoming. Thank you so much.
We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant and canโt recommend it highly enough. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. But the real highlight of our night was our waitress, Marie. Her service was exceptional โ genuinely kind, attentive without being intrusive, and full of warmth and professionalism. She has that rare ability to make guests feel truly welcome and cared for. Thank you, Marie, for making our evening so special. Weโll definitely be back!
Iโll never order steak anywhere other than here when dining out in future. They tick all the boxes at The Meat & Wine Co. Quality breeds and cuts of beef. Well seasoned and well prepared. The entrees and side dishes are exciting, good quality and flavorsome. Surprisingly though, the side salad was a let down but itโs just a salad and standards are high. Service on our first visit was impeccable but communication between staff was an issue on our return. Nothing major. This is our go to for family and business outings from now on.
Great place for a meal out, I was hoping for something a little more intimate though the ball room was stunning. Excellent service, the drinks were great, my Strawberry Smash was as delicious. Starters were tasty though I did think the Yellowfin Tuna was slightly more than seared (for Sashmii). The Scallop Cerviche was delicious apparently. The steaks were unfortunately a bit disappointing. The New York Strip was a little chewy, not something you expect for this price. I felt my fillet was a little underdone but that was my ordering error possibly. The blue cheese sauce was last lustre, I was expecting to taste blue cheese! The Truffle Mac & Cheese was so good, definitely a winner. We both really enjoyed the Afogatos.
As a birthday gift, I was given a gift card for Meat & Wine Co, and intended to spend it well. We were seated in a sort of auditorium which was warmly lit and very busy, as our reservation was for 7pm. The service was excellent. Our waiter knew the ins and outs of their menu, for both food and drink, and offered a number of recommendations. I began the meal with a Carribean Jack, which was nice but nothing special, the garlic milk bread, which I loved, and the dry aged steak tartare, which was also excellent. Tragically, they had ran out of biltong, which was unfortunate. For mains, we went with the O'conner dry aged New Yorker on the bone, with a side of mashed potatoes and pepper sauce. We also ordered the Mac and Cheese and the Market Greens. The steak was superb, arguably a top 5 lifetime steaks, and my favourite dish of the night. The mash potatoes were buttery and smooth, and the peppercorn sauce was immensely peppery, which we liked. The mac and cheese was decent, and was my dates favourite dish of the night, but I found the market greens to be unpleasant. Something in the dressing was too harsh, and reminded me of bitter greens from a different restaurant, which I also did not like. By the time a dessert menu was passed around, we were very full. To our surprise, as we were readying to leave, a nice piece of carrot cake arrived at our table, free of charge. Whilst the cake wasn't mindblowing, the gesture was very much appreciated. Overall, a good experience and I certainly will be back to try another few items off of the extensive menu.
