I purchased their Thursday Special, Kilcoy Whole Rump for $18.99/kg. Couldn't be happier. Came home, cut it up and was very pleased with the quality. Their staff are really helpful and friendly. Their store is huge, with a great range of meat and even seafood. I'll be a regular. Thank you Meat Hub.
We called into The Meat Hub to purchase some ingredients to make our first batch of home made sausages this week. Many thanks to the staff who provided us with some tips and product knowledge. You were very generous and informative. This was our first visit to your store and we were very impressed. Thankyou, we will certainly be back.
Definitely must go if you’re looking for low n slow cuts, wood, rubs etc.. Came here to check out the briskets and was not disappointed! Got a black Angus for $13.99/kg which is half of what others are charging in the GC! Spent my savings on a bunch of other goodies.. Huge range of meats and other food you don’t often find.. good prices too.. worth the trip out!
Beautiful Rib eye steaks on display so I ordered 4. One was good but three were absolute rubbish and weren't rib eye. They curled up when cooked. Loaded with sinew and fat. He loaded the steaks where I couldn't see them. $50 wasted. Hopefully the "Weber Roast" will be better but at only $15 per kilo I doubt it. Very disappointing. Update. Put the "Weber Roast" on and took it off at 59degrees and rested for 45 minutes in foil. When I started to carve it didn't look like beef.. I saw in the shop they had heaps of silverside on special so I reckon the Weber Roast was that, so beef silverside with some BBQ sauce slapped on it. Very tough and VERY salty! I had to whip up some last minute gravy to make it edible. .
I absolutely love the Meat Hub. Their meat is exceptional quality and the value is so good! Picked up some Rib Fillet today for $20 a kg. I would love to give a special shout out to Butcher Steve. He always picks out the best piece of rib fillet for me. I always get him to slice it for me and vacuum seal it. I would definitely recommend checking out the Meat Hub.
