We started doing our weekly meat shop at The Craft Butcher at Lambton about 4 months ago and absolutely love it. The quality of the produce and the expert advice is what we love. Our kids love the sausages, chicken breast and butterfly flavoured chicken. The price point is on par for what you get compared to the major grocery stores. Highly recommend the team at TCB.
These gentlemen supplied us with 5 kilos of 2.5 inch thick steaks for 9 hungry men. We had them reverse seared, they were absolutely wonderful. After 4 great years of steaks from other butchers, these were the pinnacle! Plus they were enormously accommodating in both the ordering process and with our friendly ribbing. Great genuine guys worth supporting their business, highly recommended๐๐
Beef rib is unreal, fat is golden like it should be and the melts in your mouth when you eat it. You can taste that its a healthy grass fed animal as opposed to getting the regular grain fed. Will be coming back every week!
The butchery is so neat that itโs hard to imagine itโs actually a butcher shop. Everything in the shop was so organised and staff are so responsive, friendly and passionate. Incidentally I also love their working outfit, delightfully old school style. The meat is of great quality and tastes very good. Iโve tried the dry aged ribeye and will surely come back for some more in future. Yes! Weโve come back not only once more, but quite a few times in a row. Their meat never fails to amaze us with its superb quality. Weโve tried different cuts, flat iron, sirloin and ribeye, all of which are great and definitely the best weโve got in Newcastle. The beef kofta also kicks ass. Owner and his staff are super helpful and patient. Price is reasonable especially given the impeccable calibre of the meat. Will support their business for sure! We used the beef marrow bones to make beef broth for Vietnamese style beef pho and itโs superb! Weโd also used the rump cap and had them cut to thin slices, those are great and super fresh too! Their beef brisket is also great and delicious all by itself without much seasoning once itโs simmered long enough. Lenny and Josh (both are experienced butchers) are just great and help us greatly make our own beef pho๐ Weโve also tried the New York steak here and itโs just so delicious. Itโs hard to find a place with not only high quality meat and excellent service, but also a one with dedication and commitment. Since itโs clear to me they put their effort to build a beautiful small corner in this world like this. Weโre touched by these folks. I encourage everyone who loves meat in the town to have a go at them and I think youโll soon know what Iโm talking about.
Best butcher ive ever been to highest quality meat and very attentive, friendly staff. The owner is such a nice dude aswell very knowledgable about the all of the produce and prices are incredible for the quality meat. The whole place is immaculate aswell spotless you can really see all the care taken to maintain such a high quality business i have recommended to all my friends!!!
