We went here for the first time tonight and by god it was banging🤤 We got the munchie box and my friend got the brisket box and both were so good. You walk in and you’re hit by the smell of the slow cooked food, and it tasted just as delicious. The ribs were the best we’ve ever had, and my partner has ate a lot of ribs in his life. The fries were so crispy and fluffy, the mac n cheese balls were unreal, the lychee cocktail was yummy - I couldn’t fault it. Next time we’re going to get the 1kg rack as we just couldn’t get enough! Definitely recommend. This is exactly what Cairns was missing!

The best Brisket burger in Town! Highly recommended!

Tried Slap and Pickle for the first time last night as I'd seen it a few times on socials and it's always looked good! I got the Big Daddy burger as it looked like the biggest burger on the menu. For $35 you're expecting a decent size burger to come out and I wasn't disappointed, it was a heavy set burger!! The brisket was really tender and tasted really good, it was lacking a little flavour and maybe just needed a little more sauce but overall it was a pretty good burger. Wait time was reasonable and service was good.

I'm not sure where the good reviews are coming from, but it might be a different chef or whatever. The fries where just cooked, not even crispy but still a bit moist. The coleslaw was lost in the amount of mayonnaise being used. It felt quite unhealthy, as a salad should be fresh and healthy. The meat was alright, but a bit dry. I had beef brisket before and it was more moist, soft and tasty then this.

Last night I went to the restaurant with my girlfriend and waited for 40 minutes to get our foods ready, service was okay although they put the wrong order due to their mistake, and I do understand waiting for 30 minutes as their name includes ‘slow’, but I think they have an issue of keeping their hygiene by giving us plastic string thing inside the coleslaw and could not get even a single apologise The server told us that she is not a chef so she doesn’t know why it happened, but from the kitchen they said it came from cabbage that they are using it. We don’t expect the money back or any, but isn’t it weird to say something like you just have to accept it although it was their mistake?
