We read amazing reviews and we were so keen to try the steak and ribs here. We called and they said they have a 2 month waiting period for a table but they had an opening due to a cancellation, 2-3 days away from the time of booking. So we took it. Wait staff were friendly and the ambience was really cool, it was like being transported to Germany. Now let’s talk about the food!! Food was subpar to say the very least. The ribs seem as though they were cooked in the oven and lacked that Smokey-ness. The steak was ok as well, pretty standard not too special, on par with pub level steak. Asked for medium, it was more on the medium-well side. Overall experience … did not live up to the hype.

It was my first visit to this remarkable establishment, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all expectations. My family, who had traveled from Melbourne, shared in the delight and enthusiasm, thoroughly enjoying every aspect of our experience. The ambiance was inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. I cannot recommend this wonderful place highly enough for your next dining adventure. The staff were not only attentive but also went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and well taken care of.

Absolutely class spot. My family has came here many times and every single time was better than the last. If I could could recommend any restaurant in Gold Coast it would be Mikes kitchen. This occasion we ordered the classic ribs. These ribs were perfectly tender and perfectly slipped right off the bone as it was smothered in a delicous sweet and savoury bbq sauce. And what’s more tyw full rack was only $60 and could easily feed 3-4 people. A hidden gem on the menu is the burgers. The Aussie burger is jam packed with toppings a delicous beef pattary and comes with a serving of Chips. This was easiest one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. As always the deserts were so good the milk tart is our personal favourite and hit the spot perfectly. The milk tart had a. silky smooth milk custard and was on a perfectly delicous biscuit base.

Had a lovely waitress, Brittany, who made my husband feel a little special on his birthday. Service was wonderful, food was cooked to perfection and was a wonderful way to celebrate a night away from the kids. Thank you 😊

If you’re looking for a steak and rib place — Mike’s Kitchen is literally the one you have to choose. The ribs and steak are cooked to perfection — juicy, tender, and full of flavour. It’s a messy, delicious meal that’s totally worth it. We also had the sticky date pudding, and wow — it’s just as awesome. Highly recommend!
