First time visiting Gaucho, and it was a very pleasant evening. We started with the tuna tartare, which was full of flavour, before moving on to the shared platter - the steaks were outstanding and cooked perfectly medium rare, just as they should be! Thereโs a great selection of sauces and the sides were just as impressive. We also ordered the mac and cheese which I felt was slightly under-seasoned but it didnโt take away from the overall experience. Our waiter was excellent! very knowledgeable and recommended a fantastic Argentine Malbec that paired beautifully with the meal. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend and thank you Gaucho!
Fantastic. Mine and my girlfriends first time at Gauchoโs, couldnโt have been happier. Both food and service was excellent. Zac was an amazing server both on a casual friendly level and on a professional dining level. Made us feel so welcomed and treated us brilliantly. Was the crowning jewel of our 6th anniversary meal. Loved talking about my shared interests with Zac and he gave great advice on wine for me and my partner. As well as the service being the best Iโve ever had the food was phenomenal, the cow of which my rare rump steak was produced from couldโve very well been part of the Titan God Heliosโs herd of sacred and immortal cattle. Literally and figuratively. It was divine. We will be back and we hope Zac is working when we do, couldnโt recommend this restaurant more.
Visited for the first time for an early dinner on Sunday before a show, the service was so friendly and our waiter George was great! Food was delicious too, the wine menu is quite expensive but a great selection. The restaurant was very quiet when we first got there as we were eating very early, so would be great to come back on a busier evening!
fantastic first visit genuine welcoming and friendly service swift service decor and surroundings lovely food absolutely outstanding drinks spot on a lovely touch with a complimentary dessert because of our anniversary will definitely return we loved it
We went for Sunday dinner for our anniversary. We were greeted as we went in and shown straight to our table. It wasn't much of an issue, but we were placed next to a very talkative table when there were quite a few others elsewhere free that could have offered more privacy. Once seated at our table, our server, I believe his name was George, very politely asked if we would like some pre-meal snacks whilst we made our decisions. We chose some olives, which were very tasty. For drinks, we had a bottled IPA and a Chimichurri Paloma, which we both enjoyed. I had originally asked for a draught and was offered a Rosa Blanca, but the server came back and informed me it wasn't available. My second choice, Guinness, was only available in a bottle. For mains, we both got the beef roast with a side of cauliflower cheese and Latin mac and cheese (unsure of what made it Latin). The sides were good, and the main beef and gravy were delicious. My only gripe is I wish the potatoes were crispier. Gravy and Yorkshire puddings are unlimited. For dessert, we got a cheesecake and a lemon tart. I would have liked a bigger portion; however, this was possibly a case of eyes bigger than my belly. Both left fully satisfied. To top it off, the server George remembered it was our anniversary and gave us two glasses of champagneโa really nice touch. All in all, a really nice meal with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Will be back again for the Steak. Word of warning a discretionary 12.5% is added to the bill.
