Always a great time at Flint, but Nicky and her incredible team have outdone themselves once again! Stunning food, stunning atmosphere, stunning service. No photos because I was too busy stuffing my face to think to share how beautiful the dishes were, but you absolutely can't miss the Flatbreads with Smoked Bonemarrow Butter, the Porkbelly Chop, and of course the Carrot Carrot! Also special shout out to Jess for crafting our round of extra delicious, extra dirty Oyster Shell Gin martinis for the table!

I NEVER write reviews but I’ve come to Flint for dinner multiple times and it’s become mine and my partners go-to for our birthdays/anniversaries. Every single time I’m blown away. Nicki is an absolute gun in the kitchen and a borderline genius for the dishes and vibes she creates. It’s truly unlike anything I’ve ever had, I DREAM about her signature Carrot Carrot dish most nights and all the meat dishes are insane. And the fact that everything is done with only fire??? She truly outdoes herself every dish. Have to also mention Jess and the gorgeous bar and wait staff for always curating the best experience and perfect service. Totally recommend Flint for all foodies, an absolute must when dining out in Fitzroy!

What a beautiful dining experience tonight. Thank you Nicki and Jess 💕 I don’t know which bit I loved more, watching Nicki a Master of her craft, preparing our feast including shucking 3 different varieties of Oysters and giving her recommendations (we went with the South Australian and they were incredible) 🦪or having my first mouthful of her freshly cooked bread with the famous marrow butter I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews. Jesus Christ… the hype is justified, I’m going to sleep dreaming about that bread tonight. 🍞🫶🤤 Then there’s the rest…seriously if my Mum could have made carrots taste this good growing up I’d probably would have ended up a Vegan or Pescatarian but then I would not have had the joy of experiencing the flavour bombs being the lamb loin and Wagu! Yummmmmmm🥩❤️ Jess made two amazing varieties of cocktails based on my love of all things citrus 🍋‍🟩and looked after us beautifully. She’s a triple threat gold standard hire, Gorgeous, Intelligent and makes a mean cocktail 🍸🤩 Being a Tuesday night it was great that it wasn’t packed and it was just other friendly regulars coming in for their fix of a quality feed. Nicki, don’t change a thing but you’re definitely going to need some help in the kitchen with all the people we are going to tell to come and visit you. Can’t wait to return and meet Lenny the coolest pup on Smith Street! 😍🐕

We went to Flint for a last min early dinner last week. It was easy to book and I was delighted. Ordered the bread, raw fish, beetroot dish, steak and the carrots and cucumber sides. Bread and fish came out real quick, then we waited an hour for the beetroot dish then another 45 min for the steak and sides. The table next to us asked to speed up the serving pace too because honestly it is ridiculous to wait for one small steaming beetroot for an hour. You might say enjoy the company while you wait. That’s impossible! The restaurant is tiny and extremely loud you can barely hear what each other was saying. If you were so lucky like us that some super loud and constantly swearing ppl sitting next to you you may as well join their conversation.. So unfortunate because the food and drinks were great we were gonna try the whisky Icecream but I couldn’t bare sitting there one more min. We left as soon as we could finish the main.

We've just gotten home from our five year anniversary at Flint and the whole drive we couldn't stop talking about this experience. From the moment you walk in you are hit with warm candlelight, smooth jazz, laughter and the amazing smell of fire, blessing food! The menu is curated spectacularly, every bite is sensational and to watch the incredible chef move in her kitchen is a show to behold. She's kind, warm and generous with her food and her attitude towards her customers. We had all of the starters and standouts have to be the smoked oysters and the pickles...though everything was incredible! For mains we had the pork chop...just wow and the carrot dish...I love carrots but that was insane, I've never loved carrots so much! The service was prompt, warm, friendly and sassy with great banter and even better cocktails! Thank you again Flint, we cant wait to see you continue to flourish!
