Went for an old mans birthday lunch today with family, party of 5. One word: Exceptional We opted for the Chefs table fixed price menu and couldnโt have been more happy. Great service from the team and food was absolutely delicious. Lesson: dont eat too much of the great focaccia, because we were almost full by the time 9+ wagyu and flounder mains landed. That said we also had trout, scallops, lamb lollypops, porkbelly and numerous accompanying dishes. Delicious. We still managed to clean up the 3 different maccaron based desserts at the end, whiskey caramel, passionfruit, cherry! , and a doggy bag was sorted for for the mains. I couldnโt recommend the experience enough. Thanks for a great afternoon.
My partner and I had the best steaks in Melbourne! The service and recommendations were impeccable, leading us to find one of our favourite moscatos. We had our first cube roll here and it was divine, we cannot stop raving about how amazing the steak and sides at Cinder are! This venue suits any budget however the splurge is definitely worthwhile.
Cinder Sunday 3-course Lunch $55 - Basil Focaccia, confit tomato & garlic butter ๐ฅ - Coal baked Canadian scallop, Cafรฉ de Paris ๐ โญ๏ธ - Amore Burrata, green olive salsa ๐ง - Grass fed beef, wild mushroom XO sauce ๐ฅฉโญ๏ธ - Jospered Market Fish, garlic & parsley butter ๐โญ๏ธ - Sides: Mac & Cheese, Roasted Potatoesโญ๏ธ, Lettuce - Coconut Mousse ๐ฅฅ $55 for a 3 course meal with 9 dishes is honestly incredible. Cinder runs this every Sunday afternoon and for both quality and quantity it is an absolute bargain. Everything was well cooked and well seasoned, and dining in such a beautiful space made the experience even better. My only small wish was for the bread to be a little more moist.
We had one of the best dinners weโve had in a long time at Cinder Restaurant. Everything was super tasty, the atmosphere was amazing, and we had the honour of being served by Chef Raphael Oka, a Michelin-starred chef. Highly recommend!!
Food was mostly great - raw tuna with beetroot was a standout but unfortunately the squid ink cracker was stale. Lamb ribs and steak were cooked well, accompanying sides were wonderful too (the carrots are the $2/bag types but the sauce was lovely). Service was slow and mixed โ FOH seemed abrupt, but a new waiter made an effort. Despite arriving early with very few tables seated, our food came out very late. Atmosphere was warm and intimate.
