The cocktails, especially the Lemon Cheesecake, are delicious. The service was quick and the food was really good. A bit pricey but definitely worth trying. The sides and entrees were also very well done!

Update Jan 2026 Nice juicy lamb shanks Old review I have ordered the beef ribs, and ask the sauce/dressing on the side. When it was served to me, they were fully covered with the gravy/bbq glaze. I pointed out I was asking for that on the side, and another waitress told me they are cooked like that. Why they didn't tell me that earlier? I would have changed dish. The beef itself was quite dry/overcooked

Have heard some good reports for a while now and finally got to try it. Great quality, my rib eye was delicious. Service was fast, I presume because it does two seatings a night so need to keep it moving. But that also speaks to the popularity of the place and the need to do 2 seating's. There were 7 of us and 6 different choices of meals, mussels, 3 types of steak, parmigiana, salmon. No one was unhappy. A word of warning though, the prices are not for the faint hearted, best check the online menu so you know what you're heading for. My wife and I were shouted tea by our professional children, I won't be paying those prices on my pension. Cocktails were nice, they have basic beer and wine but house beer is a bit off at the moment, might need to move to something other than Shepp Brewery. Cheers and enjoy your meal.

Food is amazing, very delicious, drinks are also great. We had the lamb shank and the porterhouse steak, with the jus. Cooked perfectly, and the meat just fell off the bone. Had the fruit punch mocktail, which was delicious. Great way to have something fancy and different, without having to drink. Great service, staff willing to help and serve, asking if we needed anything else. Atmosphere is great, very calm and relaxed. On the more expensive side, but it is a matter of you get what you pay for, so it’s worth it. Place was quite full even for a Monday night, so would definitely recommend reserving a table, regardless of when you want to go, just in case.

Butcher’s Prime exceeded my expectations for a local Shepparton steakhouse. The steak was delicious, the sides were divine and the cocktails were on point. The waitress who took our order was lovely, and the food came out very quickly. We were in and out within 45 minutes of our booking. The steak had a nice, chargrilled smoky flavour and was very tender. While, yes, it is more pricey than other restaurants in the area, the prices are pretty stock standard for a steakhouse. We will definitely be going back.
