Wandered in after an afternoon in the park. Wish we had known how nice/fancy this establishment was beforehand as we were underdressed, but the staff was incredibly welcoming and kind. We had cocktails and a few appetizers; everything was delightful. Highly recommend the scallop entree. Thank you Blackbird for accommodating us!

The interior at Blackbird is incredibly well-executed, hitting that right balance between upscale and comfortable. The service was seamless, proactive without being intrusive, which made the whole meal feel relaxed. The food lived up to the setting. The Duck Foie Gras was rich and balanced, and the Tartare had a depth of flavor that really stood out. However, the Sher Wagyu MS9+ was the clear winner. Cooked exactly to medium-rare, the quality of the cut was obvious from the first bite.

Blackbird Melbourne – 5 Stars Great service and a really enjoyable experience overall. I tried the kangaroo with pie, and it was genuinely delicious, definitely something I’d recommend. The Cauliflower Mac & Cheese is an absolute must, rich, flavourful, and perfectly done. A solid 5-star visit!

One of my best late lunch experiences — a fancy 3-storey restaurant and bar along Flinders Lane. They offer great flexibility with à la carte, tasting menu and express menu options. The dishes are well-balanced and satisfying. What truly stood out was the super friendly, welcoming service. Despite the busy lunch crowd, the team offered me a quiet corner seat — I highly recommend requesting the balcony area, where you can enjoy the streets view under cover. As a solo diner, I genuinely felt looked after — something I rarely experience when seated in a quiet, tucked-away spot. It meant a lot. Thank you, team! They have created a similar cozy setting in the bar area too, and I am definitely coming back for after work drinks and bar snacks.

Amazing restaurant! I don’t leave reviews often but as a foodie and a huge supporter of small businesses, I really wanted to share my experience. Service was impeccable particularly from Erol and all other supporting staff were so friendly. The food was outstanding, we had the honey bug - never had this before but took us by surprise. T-bone, bavette, pork cutlet all cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the cauliflower mac and cheese. I will definitely be back!
