Had a fabulous dinner at Black Fire last night. The chef’s tasting platter was excellent with a wonderful array of delicious morsels from scallops to croquettes to lamb and beef. The tiramisu was delicious - I’d definitely recommend sharing!

We have been customers for some years now and continue to find updated menus, fastidiously prepared food and mostly we are satisfied with a trio of entrees between two of us as we are not "big" diners. The four stars for the atmosphere is due to the restaurant being centrally located in the Brisbane business area and can get somewhat noisy at lunchtime -but sometimes interesting too. We went for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. The food was SO GOOD! Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The presentation was beautiful. The service was excellent, attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was comfortable, relaxed and unassuming, and not noisy, so we could have conversations.

A Spanish-inspired menu is on offer here. Enjoyed the pumpkin gnocchi - could I taste the pumpkin? No, but it was yum from a gnocchi perspective, with the right amount of chewiness. Sweet potato chips were stale. Price was standard for a relatively upscale restaurant in a quieter part of the city. Service was attentive and friendly - well done!

The restaurant didn't disappoint. Great food, well prepared, and the food was brought out at exactly the right times. Kudos to the kitchen and waitstaff for a pleasant experience. Reservations are suggested.
